Enhancing Digital Literacy Through English Language Teaching: A Needs Analysis for English Students at Muhammadiyah University of Mataram

چکیده

The importance of digital literacy has grown significantly, making its integration into English language teaching (ELT) crucial. This study investigated the role ELT in promoting among students at Muhammadiyah University Mataram and identified their needs. Using a mixed-methods research design, data were collected from students’ need through questionnaires interviews, which assessed skills, technology use ELT, perceived needs for development. findings showed that interested incorporating various tools, platforms, skills they considered essential. Participants emphasized teacher guidance, language-specific resources, training. recommends integrating development curriculum, providing accessible exploring further opportunities. results offer practical insights educators, policymakers, researchers aiming to enhance Department ELT.
